Thrive at Hilltop Heritage
Moving ignites learning. Thrive at Hilltop Heritage is a new innovative school using brain science research to combine fitness, education, and health to improve student achievement. Classrooms are active, rigorous and fun places to learn.
Partnerships are key to providing students with unique opportunities and encouraging them to become productive community members. Thrive at Jason Lee has partnerships with many business and community organizations. Students have access to resources, faculty and events through Hilltop Artist, Peace Community Center, Metro Parks, Cascade Bicycling Club, and Foss Waterway Seaport. Additionally, Thrive boast a state-of-the-art fitness facility located in the school.
Project-based learning and AVID are the foundation of Thrive's educational approach. Project-based learning helps ignite student interest and improve their understanding while encouraging ownership of their education. And through AVID students learn organizational and study skills, develop critical thinking, learn to ask probing questions, receive academic help from peers and college tutors, and participate in enrichment and motivational activities to make their college dreams reality.
